At our office, we realize that many people have fear or apprehension about visiting the dentist. We recognize that different people have different fears and we offer several different approaches to treatment to help make your visit as easy and comfortable as possible.

We offer “needleless” anesthetic with the use of our Syrijet, an anesthetic delivery system that eliminates any pain that you may have experienced before with injections.

Television sets are used to drown out any of the “dental noises” that may have troubled you in the past. We also offer several different options to keep you relaxed:

  • Nitrous Oxide, or “laughing gas,” can help relieve your tension and can be easily and quickly reversed so when your appointment is finished, you will feel completely normal and be able to drive home or back to work. During the appointment, it will take the edge off and allow you to “float away.”

  • Oral medications can also be prescribed to help our patients relax and feel more comfortable during treatment.

  • For those who are truly fearful, conscious sedation, or “sleep dentistry,” may be the option for you.  Sleep dentistry is a very effective and safe way to treat the truly apprehensive. With the use of an oral sedative, triazolam or Halcion, the majority of patients are able to sleep through most of the appointment and remember very little about it. With this type of sedation, a driver is needed both to and from the appointment and it is highly recommended that you take the rest of the day off to rest, as you will still be drowsy after the appointment.

We are dedicated to making you as comfortable as possible while receiving our high quality care. During your initial visit, we can discuss which option is right for you so you can have the most relaxing and positive dental experience of your life.
