Jyl Trump, Hygienist

Jyl grew up in the small town of Sidney, Indiana and graduated from Whitko High School. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Indiana University South Bend in 1994.

Jyl has been very active in continuing her education including attending the following:

• The Hornbrook Group’s Functional Anterior Program
• Dental Boot Kamp
• PAC-Live Aesthetic Course with Dr Dorfman (Cosmetic dentist on “Extreme Makeover” television show)
• Advanced Hands-on Dental Hygiene Instrumentation with Ann Pattison

Jyl has practiced for several years in the Warsaw area before joining Dr Regan’s practice in 2003. She lives outside Columbia City with her husband Shane, their son Dayne and daughter Shaylynn.

Nicole Fraughiger, Dental Assistant

Nicole was raised in Ossian, IN, where she graduated from Norwell High School in 2001. She then attended IPFW, graduating in 2004 with honors, earning a Certificate in Dental Assisting. In 2005, she added certification in Expanded Functions by attending Indiana University School of Dentistry. Nicole enjoys building personal and professional relationships with her patients while helping fulfill their dental needs. She still lives in Ossian with her husband, Jed, and one year old daughter, Reese.

Theresa Brown, Dental Assistant

Theresa is a Fort Wayne native and has a 15 year old son, Aristotle. She has been in dentistry for 16 years. Since the age of 7, she knew that she wanted a career in dentistry. In second grade, her class had to write an essay, “What do you want to be when you grow up,” and Theresa responded, “a dentist’s helper.” So here she is, 25 years later, with her Certificate in Dental Assisting and Expanded Functions. And she can honestly say that she loves her career.

Cindy Bertsch, Office Manager

Cindy grew up in Hoagland, Indiana and graduated from Heritage High School. Since then, she has worked as an office administrator in various capacities including office manager, receptionist and accounts receivable manager. She has also worked as a Dental Assistant. Cindy is active in her church, leading the worship team and the high school youth group. She resides just outside of Markle with her husband, Robert, and their four children, Kaylah (19), Kyle (15), Ryan (10) and Lauren (7).

Brenda Komin, Business Assistant

Brenda grew up in Marysville, Kansas and always knew that she would work in the dental field. She graduated from Flint Hills School of Dental Assisting and has worked in general, pediatric, and orthodontic dentistry. She enjoyed working at chairside for many years and recently moved to the front office. Brenda lives with her husband, Kevin, along with their son, Joe, who is a junior at Carroll High School. Their oldest son, Thomas (21), is a junior at the University of Kansas.

Lauren Gareiss, Business Assistant

Lauren grew up in Columbia City and graduated from Cornerstone Christian School. She then attended Ross Medical Education Center and graduated as a Dental Assistant. Through her experience at Ross, she learned valuable computer techniques that led her to love working in the front office as a Business Assistant. Her training also allows her to help out in the back if needed. Lauren still currently lives in Columbia City with her family, and says she has always known she’d end up working in dentistry.
